I went from 10 degrees on Monday morning in Michigan, to 60 degrees in Dallas in the afternoon, to 50 degrees in Hot Springs, AR. Maddie has had me start collecting post cards for her every time I take a trip, so each new city, I bring her back a postcard. We just started it this year, so far I've got: Washington D.C., Minneapolis, Memphis, Little Rock, Kansas City and Dallas. I'm back tomorrow night. To save about a grand on my plane ticket, I flew out of Lansing Monday morning, and I just know I'll get hosed again on my connecting flight, so much so that I've booked a car and I'll probably just end up driving back and picking up my van on Thursday. Cathie leaves on Thursday morning for a four day retreat in Colorado entitled Captivating she's going on with a group of friends.

The girls and I have a big date on Friday for the Daddy Daughter Valentine's day dance. I'm taking them to get their hair done up before our big date, along with flowers and a corsage for them. We're going to dinner and then the dance. The dance part is fun to watch, with a bunch of middle aged white dudes trying to dance, but since their dancing with their daughters, no one looks overly dumb.
