Lunch and Read

I got a chance to go to Nate and Maddie's school yesterday for lunch as part of a "lunch and read" program. I brought my own brown bag, met them at the cafeteria, sat down with them and their friends to have lunch and then went over to the book fair to look at the books. It was fun seeing them in their environment, being back in school, seeing their world. There was this kid sitting all by himself at another table, and I was really proud to watch Nate notice that he was there alone and invite him to come sit with us.
