Chaos

We had our Chaos junior high youth group meeting tonight. We had a huge group of kids tonight (almost 20, which is huge for us). At one point, one of the leaders, Matt, came running in the room and chased down the other high school leaders (dressed in costume, including a life size power ranger costume) and tackled them. We played a bunch of fun games, including one where we wrapped a few kid sin saran wrap and they had to scootch down the room and eat a banana without their hands. It's harder than it sounds.

Jay's message tonight was on self esteem and how God values the kids. One of his quesitons was, "What makes you unique?" and it was cool to see how the kids see themselves. Each meeting keeps getting better and better, and the kids seem to be responding and bringing friends. We've got some great events coming up, including a man-hunt for costume-clad leaders in the Novi Mall and a winter retreat.

You can see the rest of the pictures here.
