I'm at the airport, getting ready to head home. It's been in the 60's in Kansas City, but it'll be nice to get back. We've got a busy weekend. We're having friends over tonight, tomorrow we've got the downtown outreach gig and in the afternoon the MallTease Manhunt with the Youth Group. On Saturday, Cathie's getting together with Susan and Kris to make Christmas cookies while I cheer the Lions on (which is a lot more work than you'd think).
Even while I'm gone, my wife works her tail off getting things ready for Christmas. We've (by we I mean Cathie) actually got all of our shopping done, which is a record for us. My friend and co-worker Bill actually helped us with some of our Christmas shopping by picking up a gift at the local Toys 'R Us in Okemos for us. I even have Cathie's Christmas shopping done way ahead of the curve, which is a personal best for me.
The kids are off next week after Tuesday and I'm working through the end of the week, but I'm guessing it'll be slow since everyone I talk to seems to be taking time off. I'm off for the two weeks of Christmas and New Year and then back to work full-force.
