Nate and I have been looking forward to watching the game all day. We discovered a new way to watch football - in the hot tub. We turned the TV so we could see it from the hot-tub and put the speakers outside. Nate and I had so much fun watching the game together. I usually go hang out with my buddies to watch the game, and in recent years brought Nate with me. This was a nice change, with just the two of us. There was lots of high fiving and cheering during the ups and screaming during the downs of the game. It's fun to hear Nate sharing all that he's learned from playing football, making the calls on the penalties before the flag, and showing me where they're making good tackles and when the backs are following their lead blockers correctly.
It was a great game, except for all of the stupid MSU penalties in the first half and the complete lack of defense in the last 5 minutes of the game, and of course - the loss to U of M. It's gotten to a point where I think the game is way more important to State than U of M - just a speed bump on the way to the Ohio State game. The line was Michigan -4, so my bets all ended up as a push.
