I read the book The Kite Runner on vacation. Wow. I had no idea what it was about and figured it was chick-lit based on how much Oprah liked it. I read about a book a week, and I can't remember reading a fiction book that has moved me like this book did. It was a fantastic story of redemption, but it was also a huge insight into the Middle Eastern culture and politics. Anyone read the next one, A Thousand Splendid Suns?

Just got done reading "Suns", it was good, but not as good as Kite Runner.
I read it a few months ago. Great book. Deals more with what it was like to be a woman in Afghanistan.
