The kids told us about the lunar eclipse last night, so we were watching it throughout the night until it peaked at 10. I had a tough time getting decent pictures of it that were as crisp as I wanted, but you get the gist of things from these.
Sadly enough, I did use a tripod and this is all I got. Not sure why, but even though the image looked great in the viewfinder, I was getting this very bad halo effect, no matter what my aperture and shutter time were set at.

I bet if Obama was President you could have gotten crisp pictures.
I'm pretty sure he's promised that in one of his speeches - just no actual plan or experience to make it happen.
