Em did a good job of doing a lot of walking without doing too much complaining. Occasionally I'd throw her on my shoulders and we'd walk for a while. I laughed hard when Cathie and Em had this conversation at the end of the trip:
Cathie: "So Em, Do you like New York?"
Emily: "I like all the walking, because that's healthy."
Cathie: "You like the walking?
Em: "Yep. I don't think I'll be able to get used to riding in cars after doing all this walking"
