We started celebrating Mother's day this morning with breakfast in bed for Cathie. All of the kids helped out getting breakfast ready. We've been doing this since Nate was born, and I'm not sure it's gotten any easier over the years as the kids have gotten older. The kids had two big goals today - no fighting and keep the house super clean. They did a great job on both.
After church, we spent the day hanging out. Cathie got the princess treatment from the girls, which include Emily doing Cathie's hair and Madeline giving Cathie a pedicure, which included some kind of very special (read odd) treatment with lotion and leaves all over Cathie's feet.
We had planned on grilling out and making Cathie one of her favorite meals, but the weather didn't quite cooperate. We ended up going out and getting Cathie Boston Market, complete with her favorite mashed potatoes. Maddie made a batch of great brownies for dessert. After dinner the kids gave their Mom their last gift, this video:
We ended the day by hanging out and watching a movie as a family.
