Old Man Wisdom

Eli, Brad, Jim and I watched the Wings and Pistons games last night at Brad's cottage. The highlight came when one of the Wing's Defensemen took the puck behind his own goal and waited for the play to take shape:

Jim: "I wonder if he could just stay there forever?"
Brad (after a moment of thought): "I suppose he'd get thirsty after a while."
Brad (after another moment of thought):"Never mind. He could drink from the goalie's water bottle on the net. I guess he could stay there forever."

It may be one of those things that was just amusing to me, or that I just have low standards for Brad's humor. Maybe both. I told Brad it was one of the funniest things he'd said in 18 months.
