I talked to my brother Jon tonight and apparently him and his wife Beth had quite a day. They went into the Doctor's office for a check-up on the baby as her due date approaches. Apparently the baby hadn't grown much since the last visit so they were concerned about things. They talked to them about doing a C-section immediately, but instead they went to a specialist who confirmed that the baby was a little smaller than it should be, but still doing fine. They've got a C-section scheduled for August 25th, two days after Beth takes her board exams. She's been studying for these things for 9 months and didn't want to have to wait another year to get them completed. It's a two part test, the first part being two days long, and the next part taking place at the end of October. I've taken tests in college hung-over, but never taken one two days away from giving brith.
