Nate had a football game this morning at 9AM. It was cold and slippery from the frost and our team played pretty badly. I tried a John L. Smith pep talk at half time, but it didn't get any better. Nate had the big offensive play of the game with a 80 yard run before he was tackled (it's flag football) about 10 yards shy of the goal line, and the penalty putting us at first and goal. We couldn't convert, and we lost.
My Dad and my nephew Gabe came down to see Nate play. Afterwards, we came back to the house and Nate and Gabe hung out while my Dad and I worked on some projects around here. We attacked my entire honey-do list, replacing two closet doors, a door knob, a towel rack and a closet hanger - all stuff I've had broken for months. It was good hanging out together and getting the stuff done.
Cathie and I are going out tonight with Dana and Eli for Eli's birthday.

What was so offensive about Nathan's play? Sounds like he did a great job.
