Today was a perfect fall day in Michigan. Our house is on almost an acre, and we had a ton of leafs we hadn't touched yet so the whole family spent time raking and creating a giant pile for jumping, wrestling and burying.

The kids petered out first, and after emptying about 1,000 cubic feet of leaves into the lot behind us, I headed inside to take a nap and watch the Lions game (the first one I've seen this year and enjoyed) on the couch. Cathie stayed out for another 4 hours and took care of every last leaf in every nook and cranny (while I lay on the couch, of course).

I finished the my "weekend of fixing crap" by fixing the washing machine and cleaning out the garage enough to get a car (mine for now) inside. I'm home all week, getting a chance to catch up with a bunch of friends, something I haven't been able to do in a while.
