Charlotte's Web

This weekend was our church's production of Charlotte's web. Our church sponsored the play in our local community as a way to connect with people and connect with the community. It's such a great message of sacrifice, friendship and helping the marginalized and reflects the gospel message really well.
and advertised try outs a couple of months ago. We were out of town with everything going on with my Mom, so Maddie missed the try-outs and ended up with a small supporting role. A couple of weeks ago, the director called her and told her that someone else was kicked out of the play and asked if Madeline could take over the role of the Gussy The Goose (played by Oprah in the upcoming movie, so according to her Uncle Jon, Madeline was playing Oprah). With only two weeks before the opening night, Maddie did a great job of learning her lines and getting up to speed with the whole play and was really a wonderful actress. We were all very proud of her.

Madeline was thrilled and appreciative that so many people came to see her. One of her teachers and our friend Sheri Brainard came, Maddie's school music teacher, Dana and her girls, the Kohnes, Will and Monaca, her Grandma and Grandpa Lebbon and her wonderful Aunt Kris (My sister Susan chose not to come because of her flaming hemorrhoids).
