Nate's first game was this past Saturday vs. Howell. It was my first time at a Panthers game and I was amazed. They played on the High School field, which was turf. The game has announcers calling the game as it goes, the team has it's own cheerleaders and pom-squad, the coaches have a spotter in the booth and headsets for the field, they have four referees and two guys working the chains. It's a pretty impressive operation.
It was a great game defensively and ended 6-6. Gold's defense recovered a huge fumble with 2 minutes left in the game and came close to driving it in, but couldn't convert. This is the first non-loss in 17 games for the team, so they were thrilled and played great. Their next game is this Saturday against Milford. The You can see the rest of the pictures here.
