Lebbon Family Christmas
On Saturday we celebrated Christmas at Cathie's parents with Cathie's Mom, Dad Cathie's brother Ed and wife Stacy. We did it early because Cathie's parents are heading to Hawaii for vacation over Christmas. Normally we head over to Cathie's parents on Christmas day after celebrating Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning at my parents. By the time the kids get there, they're sometimes tired and over-gifted. It was nice having it early because these were the first gifts for them and they had a chance to savor the gifts.
The girls were thrilled with all of their gifts, but two in particular that they haven't stopped playing with are their two new American Girl dolls. I don't get the appeal of these things, but for some reason, girls love them and Grandma's love to get them for girls. The girls got Emily and Jess (ironically, Jess wears sandals everywhere and crazy clothes just like the Jess we know).
My father-in-law Ron, Cathie and I are all MSU grads. Ed happens to be a U of M fan and has sadly enough instilled the same love for U of M in Nate. They got him Michiganopoly, a U of M version of Monopoly (which is odd, because I thought U of M taught socialism as the dominant paradigm). He also received a U of M hat, sweatshirt and wallet.
Presents were followed by an amazing meal, as always, and then a food coma. Ed & Stacy's dog/child Justice was there. Justice and Emily have a special bond, as you can see from this sequence of pictures:
You can see the rest of the pictures here in the Kurt Family Photo Gallery. I just noticed I don't have one picture of my mother-in-law in these pictures. You'll note their Aunt Stacy in multiple pictures playing every game the kids got this year as a gift.

Nate, you can come and live at the "Rays" home now that you are a offical Michigan fan! Good choice. GO BLUE!
